High-pitched slaps and muted closed notes played toward the edge offer everything you need in a djembe. Bass notes deliver deep, full and very well-projected tone that resonates nicely, a perfect contrast to the higher, snappier notes. A large ring of solid black rubber around the base provides a stable, non-slip surface. Thick and suitably chunky, this is a drum that will endure years of playing duty and sounds great too!
